Description

Guayacan Trumpet Tree, Panama (Tabebuia guayacan). This tree bursts into flower in March for only two days, and the rainy season is said to follow one month afterwards. Growing up to 50 meters tall, its heavy wood is used for railway ties and a tea made from its leaves is said to have medicinal properties, for urinary and kidney infections and tuberculosis.
